About

The Leas Lift is a Grade II* listed water-balanced funicular, opened in 1885, linking Folkestone seafront with the Leas promenade. Closed since 2017, it is being restored by Folkestone Leas Lift Company CIO (registered charity 1197324).

Once reopened it will carry passengers again, with new visitor facilities, exhibitions and community spaces.
