Questions
How does the Flexi Season work?
A Flexi Season is a bundle of 8 day-passes valid for 28 days from the day you buy it, for one route. You use a pass on each day you travel. At 3 days a week you need 12 days in 4 weeks, so two bundles - 16 passes - and 4 go unused. The calculator counts that waste for you, which is why Flexi can lose to daily tickets at 1 day a week.
Do fares differ between Folkestone Central and Folkestone West?
Not for London: both stations are priced to London Terminals at the same fare. The station choice here only changes the live departures board.
When do train fares change?
Regulated fares usually change on the first Sunday in March, and operators sometimes adjust in September. The date at the top of the page shows when these fares were last checked against Southeastern.
Are these High Speed fares?
Yes. The fares are Southeastern High Speed permitted fares, which cover the Javelin services into St Pancras. Slower mainline-only tickets to Charing Cross or Victoria can be cheaper, and they are not included here.
Is this calculator affiliated with Southeastern or National Rail?
No. It is an independent tool made by The Workshop, a coworking space in Folkestone, using published fares and the National Rail live departures feed. Always check the current price before you buy.
